How about celebrating Air Conditioner Appreciation Days?  Even in Maine we can appreciate air conditioning in July!  Who can celebrate?  Anyone who sells or services AC, but also any store or business in a high foot traffic location that has AC!  Consider inviting people walking buy to sit a spell in your AC to cool off on hot days.  Offer a drink, treat etc. and be sure to have materials available to promote your business.

July 20th is lollipop day!  Hand out these fun treats at your business location to generate smiles.  Plan ahead and have the packaging imprinted with your name/logo.  Fun fact, there are several “candy holidays” throughout the year.  Something simple and enjoyable to hand out and have imprinted with logo.  Find a candy that somehow relates to your business or simply select a fun day during a slow time in your cycle.

There is quite literally a holiday or celebration for everyone!  Check out websites such as:   timeanddate.com or holidayinsights.com for lists and ideas to inspire your seasonal marketing efforts such as National Grilling Month or National Ice Cream Month and don’t forget this particular fan favorite…..Shark Week!  Use these fun holidays to liven up your retail space, website, and social media posts with fun pictures, helpful information and contests.

Independence Day (July 4th)

The 4th of July is on a Thursday this year which will provide a nice long weekend of celebrations.  Just about any business can get in the spirit and show off their patriotism.  Consider a special sale or promotion for the week that includes the holiday.  Use your blog or social media accounts to share ideas for BBQ recipes, red white & blue desserts, family safety tips, or to share information on happenings in your town.

Summer Contests & Giveaways

Encourage your customers to share images from their summer activities through a photo contest.  Use the theme of summer, vacations, or 4th of July to tie into the season.  Offer prizes or random drawing giveaways such as cheap sunglasses, water bottles, beach balls, towels, sunscreen, etc (be sure to include your logo and contact information on these items).
